FEATURES OF HIGHER EDUCATION SERVICES AND APPEARANCE OF HIGHER EDUCATION SERVICES IN TURKEY

Abstract
Higher education services, which are among the most important elements of global competition, are extremely important in terms of both people and countries today. The existence of the social benefits that it collects together with the special benefit that it provides to the individuals constitutes the source of intensive studies towards higher education. While studies related to higher education are concentrated around finance and administration, there are no significant studies related to the quality and characteristics of higher education. In this study, it is explained that the nature of higher education services, how the higher education is evaluated as an economic service, the characteristics and the present status of higher education services are revealed by using current data and the situation of higher education in Turkey. As a result of the study, it is aimed to guide the policy makers by evaluating the present problems of higher education and suggestions for solution of these problems.
