Departed from individual pasts of the tax collectors with a horse, this study taps archives documents and the literature, and also employs oral history method to collect supportive data. It was carried out in different regions and interviewed both sides; the collector and the peasants to build a comprehensive framework. Tapping some specific archives documents like the stories about Uçurumlu Rıza, Gene Memet, İnce Zalım, Melek Mustafa, Sarı Cehennem and obtaining some other findings related to the issue neglected in the literature are useful to understand deeply the situation both in locality and in general.
