Price Policy
Publication Policy & No Article Processing Charge (APC)
Journal of Life Economics is a Diamond Open Access platform dedicated to removing all financial barriers to scientific knowledge. In accordance with our mission to support the universal and equitable sharing of research, our journal provides immediate open access to its content without charging fees to either authors or readers.
As of March 1, 2026, Journal of Life Economics has eliminated all publication fees to foster a more inclusive academic environment. The sustainability of our high-quality publishing standards is ensured through institutional support, rather than author-facing charges.
Our Core Principles
- No Submission Fees: There are no charges for manuscript submission, editorial screening, or the peer-review process.
- No Publication Fees (APC): Authors are not required to pay any Article Processing Charges (APC) upon acceptance. The entire publication process is free of charge.
- No Hidden Costs: There are no fees for pages, color figures, or any other supplements.
Comprehensive Publishing Services
Despite being free for authors, Journal of Life Economics maintains professional international standards. All costs associated with the following services are covered by the journal:
- Editorial & Production: Professional typesetting, layout design, and multi-format publishing (PDF/HTML).
- Persistent Identifiers: Assignment and registration of Crossref Digital Object Identifiers (DOI) for every article.
- Global Visibility: Metadata indexing and data transfer to international databases and indices.
- Digital Archiving: Long-term preservation via LOCKSS and CLOCKSS systems.
Journal of Life Economics is committed to the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) and follows the best practices in transparency and ethical publishing as outlined by DOAJ, Scopus, and COPE.
