Article Submission Fee Policy

Article Submission Fee

Our journal's fee policy has been determined in accordance with the decision of the General Assembly of the Higher Education Council (YÖK) dated March 7, 2019, and the relevant letter from the Presidency of the Inter-University Council (ÜAK).

Journal of Life Economics charges a $50 article submission fee for each article that passes editorial pre-screening. Once an article is accepted, no additional fees (Article Processing Charge (APC) or publication fee) are charged to authors under any name.

Fee Policy Details

  • Process: Authors submit their articles free of charge. The editorial team checks the article's suitability for the journal's scope, quality, and compliance with writing rules (desk review).
  • Payment Timing: Authors are requested to pay the fee for articles that pass the preliminary review and are deemed suitable for the double-blind peer review process.
  • Scope of the Fee: This fee is not a "publication fee." It covers administrative costs related to plagiarism screening (CrossCheck/iThenticate), editorial processes, and peer review coordination.
  • Payment Process: Authors receive payment instructions via email after their manuscript has passed the preliminary review. The payment must be completed before the peer review process officially begins. Editorial evaluations and reviewer decisions are conducted entirely independently of the payment process.
  • Refund Policy: Fees are generally non-refundable. However, in exceptional cases such as technical issues, system errors, or incorrect payments, refunds may be issued with the approval of the editorial board.

Note: Our journal does not charge authors any additional Article Processing Charges (APC) or publication fees after acceptance. All editorial and peer review decisions are made independently of the payment process.
