COVID-19 AND ECONOMICS OF PRIVATE THEATRES
Abstract
This paper invetigates the economic structure of private theatres which are negatively affected by Covid19 pandemic. It is also investigated the structure of government help and subsidies to those private theatres. After stating our observation and explanations that private theatres companies also produce public goods, the benefits of both fiscal and administrative subsidies and solidarity among the private theatres are discussed. It is also emphasized that demand for theatres should be increased and some policy recommendations for increasing demand are listed.
