Publication Policy
Journal Profile: Holistic Economics (Holist. Econ.) is an international, double-blind peer-reviewed, open-access journal. The journal accepts manuscripts in English and Turkish and follows a Continuous Publication model.
Aim and Scope

Languages, Frequency, and Article Types
- Languages: English and Turkish.
- Publication Frequency: Continuous Publication.
- Article Types: Original Research Articles, Review Articles, Short Communications, Policy Analyses, and Book Reviews (when relevant to the journal’s scope).
Peer Review Policy (Double-Blind)
All submissions undergo an initial editorial screening for scope, quality, and ethical compliance. Eligible manuscripts are sent to at least two independent reviewers under a double-blind review process. Editorial decisions are based on reviewer reports and scholarly merit.
Confidentiality is strictly maintained throughout the review process. Editors and reviewers must declare any conflicts of interest and recuse themselves when necessary.
Open Access Model

Copyright and License

Plagiarism Screening
All submissions are screened for similarity (e.g., via iThenticate).
Plagiarism, self-plagiarism, and redundant publications are strictly prohibited and constitute grounds for rejection in line with COPE guidelines. Our commitment to ethical publishing is detailed in the Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement.
Data Availability and Research Integrity
- Authors are responsible for the accuracy and integrity of the data used in their research.
- Editors or reviewers may request raw data where necessary.
- Where appropriate, authors are encouraged to share data in open repositories with proper documentation and citation.
Corrections and Retractions
Minor errors may be corrected through errata or corrigenda. In cases of major ethical violations (e.g., fabrication, plagiarism, undisclosed conflicts of interest), the journal may issue a retraction in accordance with COPE procedures. For details, please see the Publication Ethics page.
Conflicts of Interest
All authors, editors, and reviewers must disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could influence the evaluation or publication of a manuscript.
Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI)
Authors must explicitly disclose the use of AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) in manuscript preparation. AI may only be used for language assistance; responsibility for the scholarly content rests entirely with the authors. AI tools are not used in editorial decision-making processes.
