Abstract

Translation is a science with a very ancient past. During the translation, any text in the language is translated into another language, and consequently, an attempt is made to explain the idea of the previous language to the person in front of him. The text or language to be translated is called “source text” or “source language”, and the translated and derived text is called “target text” or “target language”. Translations are mainly done in writing and orally. A person who translates by writing is called a “translator” and a person who translates by orally is called a “interpreter”. Translation is generally the transmission of an idea from one language to another with the same content, with the goal of setting up maximum similarity to the original material. However, the nature of languages, cultural differences, and the prevalence of scientific terms do not allow for a complete translation. The history of translation has passed the through Turkish culture. Early examples of the translation can be found in the Seljuk state and in the Turkic tribes that lived before it. The field of translation and scientific discoveries in the Islamic world, which began in the 8th century and reached its peak in the 11th century, weakened from the 12th century onwards and lasted until the 18th century. During this 600-year period of stagnation, in the madrassas founded by Fatih Sultan Mehmed and Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent, students were maintained with a variety of knowledge in philosophy, medicine, and other fields of science, taught Arabic and Persian; literature in those languages was translated, published, and used as textbooks. The translation process can be considered one of the most cultural events in the world. The job of translation may seem easy at first glance, but the field of translation is really very arduous and responsible. He also sets many tasks for the translator: In literary translation, the translator must first of all be able to maintain allt he beauty, completeness, harmony and impact of the work. The translator must have a profound knowledge of the history, geography, ethnography, way of thinking, customs, and characteristics of the people to whom the author belongs. Furthermore, he must take into account the taste of the reader in the creation of the translation. I would like to note that knowing the language in literary translation, especially the translator’s knowledge of not only the literary form of both languages, but also the spoken form, dialects and even slang, is one of the important conditions. The
language of the translation, the degree of closeness to the original level of the translation, the preservation of the linguistic features of the copies in the translation, etc. together with all these aspects the general artistic features of the work must be preserved. The translator must first master the work to be translated and then consider about the translation. Translation studies is a very relevant and fascinating field of linguistics. The traditions of friendship between Azerbaijan and Turkey date back to our ancient history. Thus, since the historical roots of the Azerbaijani and Turkish Turks are the same, our etymology and traditions are the same. Both Azerbaijani Turks and Turkish Turks belong to the Oghuz group. The Turks of Azerbaijan and Turkey have established several empires in historical development, and have led to the collapse of numerous other empires. The growing development of relations between the states leads to an increase in the number of materials to be translated from both languages, both orally and in writing.
