Abstract

The most important goal of mathematics is to be able to develop innate intellectual abilities and problem solving abilities. Since mathematics is made up of abstract concepts, it is accepted as difficult all over the world. Mathematics education aims to solve these difficulties stemming from abstract structure, understand the systems by embodying concepts, and make mathematics available in everyday life. Materials are designed and used for visualization, which is the first step in embodying concepts. In this way, sensory organs are stimulated and effective learning is ensured. Today, with the development of computer technologies, materials can be designed in 3D in suitable computer programs and produced with 3D printers. In the introduction to this article, the importance of material usage in mathematics teaching and 3-D modeling and printer technology are mentioned. In the development part, the stages of designing and producing an instructional material to be used in mathematics education are explained. In the conclusion, the idea that a mathematics educator can design and produce the materials he will use in his  teaching, and the ease and contributions that it will provide to the educator are emphasized.
