Abstract

Turkish tops a list of the languages which interprets nature bestly when it is classed with another
langusges. Of course, this is a feature of the system constituting the Turkish. The systems of word
languages classified in three groups as agglutinative languages, inflected languages, monosyllabic
languages. The system which keep up with fast functioning process of deep structure mostly among
these three systems is systems of agglutinative languages. Turkish is also in group of agglutinative
languages and one of the languages which represent the meaning perfectly and fastly very much.
Unfortunately, to construe this language which interprets nature very well has not been very good and
a perfect grammar of Turkish could not been made. Format of interpreting nature in Turkish is faster
and more perfect because of its system. Whereas, its functional properties have not been revealed fully
in accordance with nomenclature categories in itself and these categories belong to nature reality.
This is because linguists have been comprehend language fully. Therefore, there is no a good analysis
for Turkish interpreting nature bestly. Almost every subject is controversial. One of the subjects which
has been controversied and hasn’t been settled yet in Turkish grammar is the subject of noun phrase
without suffixes. Noun phrase without suffixes has been seen since Old Turkish era of Turkish
language. Morever, a lot of linguists think that noun phrase without suffixes is the oldest and most
common noun phrase in Old Turkish era. Noun phrase like Türük budun “Turkish nation”, Ötüken Yış
“Ötüken Forest” is used for names of place and tribes in Orkhon Inscriptions which is known as the
first written achievement of the Turkish nation and is critically important becouse informs about dark
ages. In Modern Turkish, it is only seen in names of streets, buildings, streets and so on like ‘Ataç
Sokak’ and ‘Otel Dedeman’. Linguists have different views when they call and demarcate this kind of
noun phare which is seen less than the past today from examples like ‘tahta kapı’, ‘yün kazak’ which
formed after ellipsis and are more different than others. Some prefers to call as noun phrase without
suffixes when some call as adjective phrase. In this report, it would been searched for solutions in
accordince with some criteria about this controversial issue and it would been offered suggestions. It
would been purposed to end discussions with an analysis made as taking account of the context of the
language based on reality. Key Words: determinative groups, noun phrase without suffixes, adjective
phrase.
