Open Access Policy
Journal of Awareness (J. Aware.) provides immediate open access to all published content, supporting the global exchange of scholarly knowledge. All articles are freely available to readers without subscription, registration, or access fees.
License and Reuse Rights
All articles are published under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). Under this license, users may:
- Share: copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format;
- Adapt: remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, including commercial use.
These rights are granted provided that appropriate credit is given to the original author(s) and source, a link to the license is provided, and any changes made are clearly indicated.
Article Processing Charges and Publication Fees
Journal of Awareness is a Diamond Open Access journal. The journal does not charge authors or readers any fees.
There are no submission fees, editorial processing fees, peer-review fees, article processing charges (APCs), acceptance fees, page charges, colour charges, or any other publication-related fees.
Copyright and Author Rights
Authors retain the copyright of their works. Upon publication, authors grant the journal a non-exclusive right to publish and distribute the article under the CC BY 4.0 license. For detailed information, please see the Copyright & Licensing page.
Self-Archiving Policy
Authors may archive preprint, accepted manuscript, and published versions of their articles on personal websites, institutional repositories, disciplinary repositories, or other open access platforms, provided that full bibliographic information and the DOI link to the journal version are included.
Archiving and Long-Term Preservation
Journal of Awareness preserves its published content through the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), which is integrated with Open Journal Systems. The PKP PN supports the long-term preservation and accessibility of published journal content.
Open Access and Publishing Standards
The journal follows internationally recognized principles of open access, transparency, author copyright retention, Creative Commons licensing, and ethical scholarly publishing, including the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) and COPE Core Practices.
