Journal of Awareness (J. Aware.) is an international, peer-reviewed, Diamond Open Access journal. It publishes original research in the humanities and social sciences, aiming to increase social and scientific awareness.

Q1. What is the scope of the journal?
The journal covers original research in the humanities and social sciences with a focus on enhancing global awareness through scientific inquiry.
Q2. In which languages do you accept articles?
Submissions are accepted in both English and Turkish.
Q3. What is the publication format?
Starting with Volume 10, J. Aware. follows a continuous publication model—accepted articles are published online immediately.
2. Article Submission and Fees
Q4. Do you charge any fees for publication (APC)?
No. As of 2026, Journal of Awareness has transitioned to a Diamond Open Access model. There are no submission fees and no article processing charges (APC). The journal is completely free for authors.
Q5. How is the journal sustained without author fees?
The journal is sustained through the support of Holistence Academy and the voluntary contributions of our international editorial board. All publication costs are covered to ensure that science remains open and accessible.
Q6. What is the copyright and licensing status?
Authors retain full copyright of their works. Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license.
3. Review Process
Q7. How does the review process work?
We apply a rigorous double-blind peer-review system. Manuscripts undergo an initial editorial screening for scope and plagiarism (via iThenticate) before being assigned to independent reviewers.
Q8. What is the average decision time?
The initial editorial decision is made within 7-10 days. The standard time for the full peer-review process is approximately 30-45 days.
