Journal of Awareness (J. Aware.) is committed to upholding the highest ethical standards in its publication processes. Our journal bases all its policies and practices on the COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) Core Practices and international guidelines.
These principles define the responsibilities and ethical rules that all stakeholders involved in the publication process (authors, editors, reviewers, and publishers) must adhere to.
Originality and Attribution: Authors must guarantee that the work they submit is entirely original and that any ideas, text, data, or images taken from another source are appropriately cited.
Author Contribution: All authors must make a meaningful contribution to the work.
Multiple Submission: An article cannot be under consideration for publication in another journal at the same time.
Data Reliability: Authors are responsible for the accuracy of the data they submit.
Ethics Committee Approval: Ethics committee approval is mandatory for all research involving human subjects (e.g., surveys, interviews, ethnographic studies).
Conflict of Interest: Authors must declare any conflicts of interest.
Error Reporting: If an error is found in a published work, it should be reported to the journal.
Impartiality: Decisions are based solely on academic merit and referee reports.
Confidentiality: Article and referee information is kept confidential.
Conflict of Interest: Editors cannot participate in the process of their own articles or those of closely related studies.
Process Management: The double-blind peer review process is conducted fairly, transparently, and promptly.

Our journal has a zero-tolerance policy towards any form of plagiarism. All articles are screened using iThenticate software. Self-plagiarism and "salami slicing" practices are also considered ethical violations. Articles found to contain plagiarism are rejected outright.
Authors are responsible for the accuracy of the data they use.
Raw data may be requested if necessary.
Where appropriate, data sharing on open-access platforms is encouraged.
Correction (Erratum/Corrigendum): Published for minor errors.
Retraction: Articles are retracted for serious violations such as data fabrication, plagiarism, or ghost authorship.
All processes are conducted in accordance with COPE guidelines.
Authors must indicate in the article if they have used artificial intelligence tools such as ChatGPT.
Artificial intelligence may only be used for writing and language support.
Responsibility for scientific content lies entirely with the authors.
Artificial intelligence tools are not used in the journal's editorial decision-making processes.
For the journal's general editorial rules (open access, copyright, archiving, etc.), please see our Publication Policy page.
