Journal of Life Economics (J. Life Econ.) is an international, peer-reviewed, Diamond Open Access journal. The journal publishes original theoretical and applied research in economics, marketing, finance, and related social science disciplines.
1. General Information
Q1. What is the scope of the journal?
The journal publishes original studies in Economics, Marketing, Finance, Accounting, Banking, Econometrics, Labour Economics, and similar fields.
Q2. In which languages do you accept articles?
Submissions are accepted in both English and Turkish.
Q3. What is the publication format?
The journal follows a continuous publication model. Once an article is accepted, it is published online immediately without waiting for the full issue to be completed.
2. Article Submission and Fees
Q4. Do you charge any fees for submission or publication?
No. As of 2026, Journal of Life Economics has transitioned to a Diamond Open Access model. There are no submission fees and no article processing charges (APC). The entire process is free for authors.
Q5. How is the journal sustained without author fees?
The journal is sustained through the support of Holistence Academy and the voluntary contributions of our international editorial board. All publication costs are covered to ensure that financial barriers never hinder academic sharing.
Q6. What is the copyright and licensing status?
Authors retain full copyright of their works. All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license.
3. Review Process
Q7. How does the review process work?
We employ a double-blind peer-review model. Each manuscript undergoes an initial editorial screening (scope, format, plagiarism via iThenticate) before being sent to at least two independent experts.
Q8. What is the average decision time?
The initial editorial decision is made within 7-10 days. The peer-review process typically aims for a first decision within 30-45 days.
4. Publication and Ethics
Q9. What about DOI and Indexing?
Every published article is assigned a unique DOI via Crossref. The journal is indexed in various international databases to ensure high visibility.
Q10. What ethical standards do you follow?
We strictly adhere to COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines. Plagiarism, data fabrication, and redundant publication are strictly prohibited.
