Open Access Policy
Holistic Economics supports global knowledge exchange by providing immediate open access to all published content. By removing access barriers, the journal aims to make research freely available to everyone while ensuring higher visibility and citation potential for authors.
Diamond Open Access Model (No Fees)
As of March 1, 2026, Holistic Economics operates under a Diamond Open Access model. We believe that financial barriers should not impede the dissemination of high-quality academic research. Therefore:
- No Article Processing Charges (APCs): Authors are not charged any fees for publication.
- No Submission Fees: There are no costs associated with manuscript submission or editorial review.
- No Hidden Costs: All editorial, peer-review, and publishing services are provided free of charge to authors and their institutions.
Licensing and Reuse Rights
All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license. Under this license, anyone is free to:
- Share — copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format,
- Adapt — remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, including commercially.
These actions are permitted provided that appropriate credit is given to the original author(s) and source, a link to the license is provided, and any changes made are indicated. The journal encourages responsible reuse of publications with clear attribution.
Copyright and Author Rights
Authors retain the full copyright of their work without restrictions and grant the journal the right of first publication. For further details, please review our Copyright Policy page.
Archiving and Long-Term Preservation
All published content is digitally preserved via LOCKSS and CLOCKSS systems, ensuring the long-term security and accessibility of the academic record.
Self-Archiving Policy
Authors are permitted to self-archive preprint, accepted (postprint), and published versions of their articles on personal websites or institutional repositories, provided that full citation and a DOI link to the journal version are included.
Compliance
The journal's open access model is fully compliant with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) principles and meets the transparency requirements of DOAJ, Scopus, and Web of Science.
