Open Access Policy

Holistic Economics supports global knowledge exchange by providing immediate open access to all published content. By removing access barriers, the journal aims to make research freely available to everyone while ensuring higher visibility and citation potential for authors.

Licensing and Reuse Rights

All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license. Under this license, anyone is free to:

  • Share — copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format,
  • Adapt — remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, including commercially.

These actions are permitted provided that appropriate credit is given to the original author(s) and source, a link to the license is provided, and any changes made are indicated. The journal encourages responsible reuse of publications with clear attribution.

Archiving and Long-Term Preservation

All published content is digitally preserved via LOCKSS and CLOCKSS systems, ensuring the long-term security and accessibility of the academic record.

Article Processing Charge (APC)

To sustain open-access publishing, Holistic Economics requests a one-time Article Processing Charge (APC) only after manuscript acceptance. No fees are charged during submission or review. For details, please see our Fee Policy page.

Copyright and Author Rights

Authors retain the copyright of their work and grant the journal the right of first publication. For further details on copyright and licensing, please review our Copyright Policy page.

Self-Archiving Policy

Authors are permitted to self-archive preprint, accepted (postprint), and published versions of their articles on personal websites or institutional repositories, provided that full citation and a DOI link to the journal version are included.

Compliance

The journal's open access model is fully compliant with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) principles.
