Price Policy
Open Access Policy & Article Processing Charge
Holistic Economics is a fully open-access platform aiming to remove barriers to scientific knowledge. In support of the universal sharing of knowledge, our journal does not charge any subscription fees to readers or libraries.
To ensure the sustainability of this open-access model, maintain international publication quality standards, and guarantee long-term digital preservation of articles, a modest Article Processing Charge (APC) is requested from authors upon acceptance of their manuscripts.
Our Core Principles
- No Submission Fees: Article submission, initial editorial screening, and the peer-review process are completely free of charge.
- Only After Acceptance: The APC of 50 USD is requested only after the manuscript has successfully completed the peer-review process and is officially accepted for publication. No fee is requested for rejected manuscripts.
Scope of the Article Processing Charge
This fee is used with a non-profit approach solely to cover the costs of the following professional publishing services:
- Editorial Operations: Professional layout, typesetting, and formatting (PDF and HTML).
- Persistent Identifiers: Assignment and registration of Digital Object Identifiers (DOI).
- Visibility: Data transfer to Crossref and international indices.
- Digital Preservation: Long-term archiving of the article (e.g., LOCKSS/CLOCKSS).
Waiver Policy
Holistic Economics believes that financial constraints should not hinder science. Partial or full waivers may be granted to authors from low-income countries or those without research funding support, provided they document their situation.
Please contact the editorial office for waiver requests or further inquiries.
