Q1. What is the scope of Holistic Economics?
The journal publishes original theoretical and empirical studies addressing the holistic nature of economics, including sustainable development, green economy, circular economy, environmental economics, public policy, finance, and related interdisciplinary topics.

To ensure maximum global impact and indexing compatibility, Holistic Economics accepts submissions exclusively in English.
Q3. What is the publication format?
Holistic Economics follows a continuous publication model. Accepted articles are published online immediately, ensuring rapid dissemination of research.
2. Article Submission and Fees
Q4. Do you charge any fees for publication (APC)?
No. As of March 1, 2026, Holistic Economics operates as a Diamond Open Access journal. There are no submission fees and no article processing charges (APC). All publication costs are covered by the publisher to support the global academic community.
Q5. How is the journal sustained without author fees?
The journal is sustained through institutional support and the voluntary contributions of our international editorial board, ensuring that financial constraints never hinder scientific progress.
Q6. What is the copyright and licensing status?
Authors retain full copyright of their works without restrictions. All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license.
3. Review Process
Q7. How does the review process work?
We employ a rigorous double-blind peer-review system. Each manuscript undergoes an initial editorial screening for scope, originality (via iThenticate), and technical compliance before being sent to at least two independent international experts.
Q8. What is the average decision time?
The initial editorial decision is typically made within 7-10 days. The full peer-review process aims for a first decision within 30-45 days.
4. Publication and Access
Q9. Is the journal compliant with Open Access mandates?
Yes. Our policy is fully compliant with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) and meets the criteria of major indices such as DOAJ, Scopus, and Web of Science.
Q10. What about DOI and Indexing?
Every published article is assigned a unique DOI (Digital Object Identifier) via Crossref. Articles are digitally preserved in LOCKSS and CLOCKSS to ensure long-term accessibility.
