Publication Ethics
Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement
Holistic Economics (Holist. Econ.) is committed to upholding the highest ethical standards in all stages of publication. Our policies and practices are guided by the COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) Core Practices and international guidelines.
These principles define the responsibilities and ethical conduct expected from all stakeholders involved in the publication process (authors, editors, reviewers, and publishers).
1. Responsibilities of Authors
Originality and Attribution: Authors must ensure that their submission is entirely original and that all ideas, text, data, or images taken from other sources are properly cited.
Authorship Contribution: All listed authors must have made a significant contribution to the work.
Multiple Submission: A manuscript cannot be under consideration elsewhere simultaneously.
Data Reliability: Authors are responsible for the accuracy of the data presented.
Ethics Approval: Studies involving human or animal subjects require ethics committee approval.
Conflicts of Interest: Authors must disclose any conflicts of interest.
Error Notification: Authors must promptly inform the journal if a significant error is discovered in a published work.
2. Responsibilities and Roles of Editors
2.1 General Principles
Impartiality: Decisions are based solely on scholarly merit and reviewer reports.
Confidentiality: Manuscript and reviewer information is kept confidential.
Conflicts of Interest: Editors must not be involved in decisions about their own work or papers by authors with whom they have close academic or personal relationships.
Process Management: The double-blind review process is conducted fairly, transparently, and in a timely manner.
