Journal of Arts (J. Arts.) is an international, peer-reviewed, Diamond Open Access journal. The journal focuses on original research in Visual Arts, Performing Arts, Design, Musicology, Art History, and related interdisciplinary fields.

Q1. What is the scope of the journal?
The journal publishes original studies in Visual Arts, Performing Arts, Design, Musicology, Literature, Film and New Media Studies, Art History, and related areas.
Q2. In which languages do you accept articles?
Submissions are accepted in both English and Turkish.
Q3. What is the publication format?
We follow a continuous publication model. Accepted articles are published online immediately to ensure rapid dissemination of research.
2. Article Submission and Fees
Q4. Do you charge any fees for publication (APC)?
No. As of 2026, Journal of Arts operates as a Diamond Open Access journal. There are no submission fees and no article processing charges (APC). The journal is completely free for authors.
Q5. How is the journal sustained without author fees?
The journal is sustained through the support of Holistence Academy and the voluntary contributions of our international editorial board. All publication costs are covered to ensure that science remains free for everyone.
Q6. What is the copyright and licensing status?
Authors retain full copyright. All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license.
3. Review Process
Q7. How does the review process work?
We employ a rigorous double-blind peer-review system. Each manuscript undergoes an initial editorial screening for scope and originality (via iThenticate) before being sent to independent experts.
Q8. What is the average decision time?
The initial editorial decision is made within 7-10 days. The full peer-review process aims for a first decision within 30-45 days.
